Welcome to Arboretum, a digital garden cultivating a forest of interlinked insights.
arboretum (ar·bo·re·tum): a place where trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants are cultivated for scientific and educational purposes[1]
This site is maintained by Ilma. I regard this as a little corner in the internet for peace, contemplation, and growing some greenery.
The plants are representations of my ideas written in notes. Like a growing creature, an idea can grow over time, with different stages:
- Seedlings are fleeting thoughts.
- Saplings are thoughts that have some structure or coherence in it.
- Trees are well-developed essays, a kind of thing I will publish into my social media account.
- Withered plants are outdated ideas, most likely something that I used to belief.
There are others too:
- Stones are external information/resources that I cannot grow myself, obviously.
- Paths are the navigations within the garden.
I hope this space not only fosters my thinking--something private in nature, but also provides inspiration and impart wisdom. I invite you to explore and help the garden continue to grow through civil discussions.
